Floyd H. Edmond 1917-2003 Obituary
Floyd H. Edmond, 86, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Born March 16, 1917, in Norton, he was the son of the late William W. Edmond and Melissa Trussler Edmond.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen F. Edmond of Martinsburg and Floyd E. Edmond of Arizona; two daughters, Sheila Morris of Bowling Green, Va., and Brenda C. Bartley of Martinsburg.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith P. Pringle Edmond; four sisters, Ivy Phillips, Maude Moore, Rosie Edmond and Kathleen Roy; and four brothers, Charley, Denzil, Merrill and Ervin Edmond.
He was a retired kitchen supervisor for the Veterans Administration Medical Center. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in Martinsburg and the Martinsburg American Legion.
The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg where funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Martinsburg Combined Honor Guard will conduct military rites. Pallbearers will be David and Tony Crone, Mike Shane, James Coates, Dustin and Mark Brown. Arrangements are by Rosedale Funeral Home in Martinsburg.
