Howard E. Exline 1933-2003 Obituary
Howard E. Exline, 70, a resident of Route 2, Box 207, Buckhannon, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Holbrook’s Nursing Home in Buckhannon.
He was born Jan. 5, 1933, in Upshur County, the son of the late John Exline and Opal Spore Exline.
His wife, Ruth E. Exline, preceded him in death on July 16, 2003.
Surviving are one son, Howard Eugene Exline Jr. of Alabama; one daughter, Cathy Ours of Ellamore; two stepsons, Robert William Berry of Ohio and Eugene Douglas Berry of Parkersburg; two stepdaughters, Sandra Hanning of Ohio and Diane Rourke, address unknown; and three sisters, Martha Hiney of Linn, Cora Linger of Philippi and Anna Robinson of Buckhannon.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, James Exline, William Exline and Eddie Exline; and by one half brother, Grant Exline.
Mr. Exline was a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the Buckhannon Union Mission Church.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home where the Rev. Dennis Estes will present a few remarks during visitation. At the request of the deceased, the remains will be cremated and no funeral service will be held.
