Lois Farris 1925-2003 Obituary
Lois Renay Arbogast Farris, 77, a resident of Junior and more recently of Broaddus Long Term Care in Philippi for the past several months, departed this life at 11:55 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003, at the care facility after being in declining health for several years.
She was born Sept. 21, 1925, at Junior, the daughter of the late Leslie and Mary Estaline Valentine Arbogast.
On Feb. 9, 1946, she was united in marriage to Jasper E. Farris, who preceded her in death on July 13, 2000.
She is survived by three brothers, David Arbogast and wife, Marty, of Belington, Jack Arbogast and wife, Doris, and Donald Arbogast and wife, Mary, all of Dayton, Va.; one sister, Helen Frances Kittle Robertson and husband, William, of Uniontown, Ohio; one sister-in-law, Jo Arbogast of South Gate, Mich.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Charles Arbogast.
Mrs. Farris attended the schools of Barbour County and resided in Barberton, Ohio, for several years where she had been employed by the Ackwell Co. She was also a homemaker and was a member of the Church of the Brethren in Junior.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Brethren Cemetery in Junior with the Rev. Walter Blough officiating. Interment will follow. The Talbott Funeral Home in Belington is in charge of the arrangements for Lois Renay Arbogast Farris.
