Roy G. Fisher 1926-2003 Obituary
Roy Glen Fisher, 76, of Island Avenue, Buckhannon, died Wednesday, June 4, 2003, at his home.
He was born Sept. 17, 1926, in Sutton, a son of the late Hugh and Effie Williams Fisher.
Surviving are his wife, Viola Gibson Fisher, Island Avenue, Buckhannon; one daughter, Patricia A. Lesondik and husband, Lawrence, Buckhannon; one son, the Rev. Joseph G. Fisher and wife, Laura, Florida; two grandchildren, Michael Lesondik and wife, Andrea, Maryland, and Michelle Rice and husband, Jonathan, Elkins; and five sisters, Oma Nolan, Crawford, Olive Curtis, Weston, Pearl Perrine, Crawford, Mary Jane Burnside, Buckhannon, and Dessie Curtis, Weston.
He was a retired water plant operator for the city of Buckhannon. He repaired musical instruments and made dulcimers. He was a member of the Christian Faith Center on Island Avenue.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Saturday at 11 a.m. with Pastor John Cowger officiating. Interment will follow in Heavner Cemetery. Tomblyn-Whitescarver Funeral Chapel of Buckhannon is in charge of the arrangements for Roy Glen Fisher.
