Evelyn E. Grimes 1924-2003 Obituary
Evelyn E. Grimes, 78, a resident of Route 1, Marlinton, and a former resident of Philippi, passed away Aug. 5, 2003, in Davis Memorial Hospital.
She was born Oct. 10, 1924, in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Bruce and Susan (Fleming) Davis.
She was united in marriage Sept. 6, 1958, to John Robert “Bob” Grimes, who preceded in death on Dec. 20, 1995.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph H. “Joe” and wife, Becky Grimes, Marlinton; and one granddaughter, Olivia Paige Grimes, Marlinton.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Eleanor Gray; and one brother, Loyd Davis.
She was a pharmacy clerk and partner in the Davis Drug Store in Philippi. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Morgantown.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, after 7 p.m. today and until 11 a.m. Friday, the service hour. Interment will follow in the Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton
