Ruth P. Grogan 1928-2003 Obituary
Ruth Pauline Grogan, 75, of Durbin, passed away Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
Mrs. Grogan was born May 20, 1928, at Boyer, the daughter of the late James H. and Birdie Simmons Varner.
She was a resident of Durbin since 1986, was a member of the Durbin Church of the Brethren, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge 29 of Durbin and was a waitress.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Leo Arbogast, and by her second husband, Hearst Grogan; one daughter, Sandy; sisters and brothers, Dana Varner, Clyde Varner, Margie Varner Waybright, Paul Varner, Duey Varner, Mildred Varner Collins, Virginia Nelson, Hardy Varner and Leslie Varner.
Surviving are one son, Theodore Arbogast and wife, Carol, of Durbin; one sister, Lucille Varner of Crystal Springs; one brother, Ray Varner of Bedford, Pa.; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m Saturday at the Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Durbin Church of the Brethren. The Rev. John Riffe officiated and interment followed in the Arbovale Cemetery.
