Gail Hardy Jr. 1944-2003 Obituary
Gail “Junior” Hardy Jr., 58, of River Road, Clarksburg, died peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2003, following an extended illness.
Mr. Hardy was a retired heavy equipment operator with Petitto Brothers.
He was born in Clarksburg on April 28, 1944, a son of the late Gail and Rosemary Barker Hardy.
He is survived by his wife, Beverly Yvonne Fitzwater Hardy; one daughter, Stephanie Yvonne Hardy Reed; two grandsons, Andrew Michael and Cody Matthew Reed; two brothers, Leroy Hardy and wife, Nancy, Quiet Dell, and Tom Hardy, Ohio; two sisters, Mary Lou Grimes and Patty Wilford, both of Clarksburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Hardy was a U.S. Army veteran, having served from 1962-1965. He was a member of the United Mine Workers, Ohio Gamefoal Breeders Association, and the AARP. He was also a life member of Meuse Argonne Post 573 VFW, a life member of the DAV, a life member of Roy E. Parrish Post 13 American Legion, Clarksburg Aerie No. 2353 Fraternal Order of Eagles, Governor of Clarksburg Lodge 52 Loyal Order of Moose, Moose International 5 Club, President of District 2 Moose Association and Monongahela Valley Moose Legion 52.
Family and friends may call at Davis Funeral Home, One Olen Thomas, Route 98, Clarksburg, today from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m., where funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. The Rev. O.D.
