Icie R. Harman 1903-2003 Obituary
Icie R. Harman, 100, a resident of the Harpertown Road, passed away Wednesday evening, Dec. 10, 2003, at her residence following an extended illness.
She was born July 9, 1903, in Grant County, the daughter of the late Samuel and Tabitha Hall.
On Jan. 3, 1931, she was married to Dickson Harman, who preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1962.
Surviving are four sons, Robert Joe Harman, John Edward Harman, James Dickson Harman and Jack Hair Harman, all of Elkins; and two daughters, Mary Sue Daniels and Erda May Weese, both of Elkins.
Fourteen grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren also survive.
Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Ruby Harman; one sister, Mary Margaret Hall; and two brothers, Frank and Edwin Hall.
Mrs. Harman was a homemaker and a Protestant by faith.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Bryan Headley and the Rev. Jonas Johnson Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1410, Crim Ave., Belington, W.Va. 26250 in memory of Mrs. Harman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Icie R. Harman.
