Erma Harsh 1928-2003 Obituary
Erma Jean Kisner Harsh, 75, of St. George, departed this life early Sunday morning, Oct. 5, 2003, at the Garrett County Memorial Hospital at Oakland, Md. She had been in declining health and death was attributed to respiratory failure.
She was born July 27, 1928, at Limestone, the daughter of the late Roy Kisner and Goldie Marie Auvil Kisner.
On Dec. 24, 1947, she was married to Melvin Ercil Harsh, who preceded her in death on April 23, 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Ercil Eugene Harsh and wife, Anna, of Canton, Ohio, and Robert Allen Harsh and wife, Rocky, of St. George; one daughter, Sheila Darlene Klusty and husband, Lewis, of Kent, Ohio; one sister, Virginia Friend; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and two special friends, Arlene Shomo and Jean Supak.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Darwin Harsh; and three sisters, Reva Spessert, Vick Harsh and Ruth Spessert.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1947. She was a homemaker and worked as a waitress and enjoyed helping people. She loved flowers and gardening.
She attended the Limestone Methodist Church and was the trustee of the church.
The family will receive friends at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. On Thursday morning, Mrs. Harsh will be moved to the Limestone Methodist Church at St. George, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., the funeral hour. Pastor Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery at St. George. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Erma Jean Kisner Harsh.
