Shelia Ester Rutherford Delauder 1969-2015 Obituary
Mrs. Shelia Ester Rutherford Delauder, age 45 years, a resident of Belington, went to be with the Lord, Thursday June 25, 2015, in the Emergency Department of Davis Medical Center. She had been in her usual health, and death was unexpected.
She was born on November 5, 1969 at Elkins, WV, a daughter of Warren Alfred and Elvia Wanda Arbogast Rutherford who survive in Coalton, WV.
On May 1, 1988 she was united in marriage to Nelson “Ted” Delauder, who survives at their home in Belington.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by one daughter; Kassie Swecker and husband Tim of Beverly, one son Adam Nelson Delauder and wife Barbie of Belington, two sisters; Sherry Wadsworth of Junior, Candy Arbogast and husband Adam of Norton, one brother; Steve Rutherford of Chenoweth Creek, and two grandchildren; Adam Nicholas Delauder and Joel Thomas Swecker, and also several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents; Marvin W. and Marie Arbogast, her paternal grandparents; Wayne and Emma Rutherford, and one grandson; Labon Lee Warren Swecker.
Mrs. Delauder attended the schools of Randolph County, was of the Pentecostal faith and attended the Good Shepard Assembly of God, where she loved to help with vacation bible school. She was a customer service representative for the NRA from which she retired. She was also a former employee of the Belington Shop n Save and volunteered for Jerry West Basketball at the Belington Civic Center for over ten years. She deeply loved her family and grandchildren, and enjoyed gardening and cooking. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received at the Talbott Funeral Home 56 N Brandenburg Street in Belington, from 6– 9 pm on Sunday June 28, 2015, and again on Monday June 29, 2015 from 8am –2pm the funeral hour when final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Roger Foster officiating. Interment will follow in the Trinity Cemetery near Belington.
