Dorothy D. Herron Mason 1939-2009 Obituary
Dorothy D. Mason, 70 of Bloomery, died Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at the Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.
She was born July 4, 1939 in Mill Creek, the daughter of the late Russell M. and Jettie L. Taylor Herron.
She worked for Plumly Flooring in Winchester, Reidbord Brothers in Elkins and attended Bean Settlement Church of the Brethren in Kirby.
She married Larry Junior Mason on January 25, 1969 in Elkins, Randolph County, West Virginia.
Surviving with her husband of 40 years is one son, Kevin L. Mason, Paw Paw; one daughter, Peggy A. Creek, Augusta; two brothers, Doyle Herron, Elkins and Delbert Herron, Delray; four sisters, Arlene Moore, Elkins, Arra Currence, Dailey, Freda Burton, Paw Paw and Beulah Jean Ramsey, Beverley and five grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at Giffin Funeral Home in Capon Bridge on Saturday, November 28. Officiating was Burl Charlton, pastor. Interment was at the Malick Cemetery near Augusta.
