Juanita “Jean” Wegman Shiflett 1942-2015 Obituary
Juanita “Jean” Shiflett, 72, of Bayard, WV died on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Oakland.
Born on December 12, 1942 in Jerusalem, WV, she was a daughter of the late Howard G. and Odie Marie (McCauley) Wegman.
Jean loved to spend her time with crocheting and needle crafts.
She will be remembered as a woman whose greatest love was caring for her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Donald R. Shiflett, Sr.; a daughter, Janice Hartman and husband Rodney of Bayard; nine grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three sisters, Cecilia Moore of Stephenson, VA, Carolyn Virginia Williams of Elkins, WV and Shirley Analea Weasenforth of Beverly, WV; a brother, Jimmy Michael Wegman of Philippi, WV; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Donald R. Shiflett, Jr.; a sister, Maxine Goldizen; and a brother, Adam Wegman.
Friends will be received at the C & S Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, April 21st from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM.
A funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday, April 22nd at 1 PM with Pastor Phillip Marcum officiating.
Interment will follow in the Bayard Cemetery.
