Actually a good top, because you could do a monthly column and have each article focus on tying a different fly

There are an endless number of flies to tie

So overall, I’m a little surprised there are not more articles on Fly Tying

but its not really a cheap hobby, the vise and specialized tools are expensive, but after that, the materials are actually inexpensive

There are a few cheaper vises available, but most vises are very expensive, and the first advice give a newbie is to buy a nice vise

I do not agree with that recommendation, I think going cheap is better until you know you want to do enough fly tying to make a large investment worth the expense
