A good article on how the sail is build and provides a lot of detail on how the sail is made
but not a lot of detail on attaching to the canoe
recommended for a 16 ft canoe, specifically for the orange crate canoe
Seems like building this would require guidance from someone experienced with sailing rigs, and hopefully sailing canoes
W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles
