Mini-MPCNC Build Introduction – Goals

Welcome to Snaphwhole.com Mini-MPCNC Build Log

I want to build a CNC machine so I can explore how it can be used on my other projects, it made sense to start small

I looked at just about every 3d printer/CNC machine on thingiverse.com, and finally chose the Mini-MPCNC to build for a CNC Machine for engraving and drawing, and use it to experiment and explore how useful it can be
I will do a Build Log for this system – https://www.snapwhole.com/index.php/cnc-projects/

Some of the reasons I chose the Mini-MPCNC

½ conduit Frame – locally sourced, inexpensive, easily replaced
Mostly Printer – The rest of the Frame was easily printed
Size- Pick your size! Start small and go big – I chose small
Control – Arduino
Control – Ramps board
Control – stepper Drivers
Software – Marlin etc

Lots of choices – My Choices

Size – X-Y-Z – 200x200x200 – 8x8x8
Tool Mount – Universal Tool Mount with intent to use HF trim router
Software – Marlin

The design does not have a lot of built in scalability – If I want bigger, I will need to upgrade to MPCNC, ¾ inch Conduit and re-print Everything!

But the electrics will transfer to the MPCNC
