Lone Eagle was a pen-name Ben Hunt used while writing for Boy’s Life, he even had a costume he wore when attending Native American tribes and you can find more information about Lone Eagle in Ben Hunt on his Carving and Native American Books from the 1940s and in perpetual reprint

W Ben Hunt created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle names, and published articles under all three name – Ben Hunt wrote 2-4 articles per month for Boy’s Life, and I think he created the Whittlin Jim and Lone Eagle to make is seem like there were multiple authors writing the articles
