HiPUR former is a polyurethane bonding system part hot melt and part curing resin. The bonding system is by Franklin International. The hot glue gun is by Steinel (German Source). Hybrid MP75 gives bonding after 75 seconds and moisture cures to a high strength in 24 hours. The system makes sense for doing multiple jobs. The shelf life is 12 months. It takes 12 minutes to warm up the glue before use.
2 Minomoas get flown in Yakima WA Spring Warm-up May 7 8. Other scale shops also were flown.
More construction hints are given on the Alula-2. Clearco 877 spray adhesive used vs. 3M77 gives longer working time. However heat doesnt seem to activate the stickiness. Comparisons of specs and control deflections for the Richter Kit Alula-1 and Alula-2 vs. Jason Brinleys Alula with separated elevator and aileron vs. elevon. $45 kit + $5.50 S&H.
