Hobby Club C-hawk at $400 can be built for TD Slope or as an Electric Sailplane. The model was evaluated with a Typhoon-micro 15/13 brushless motor and a 11.1 V (3SP) Pack and an 11-6 folding prop. The model climbs and flies well but has a tip stall propensity. For winch launching add acetate to the rudder for added stability on launch.
Jay makes a systematic evaluation of how he wants to spend his modeling time by evaluating various options. The system is as follows: Define what types of flying you like to do Rank them with a scale under the categories of Fun/satisfaction Frequency Building and Social using a ranking number for each type. Assign each criterion with a weighing factor. The total of which should total 1.0 Multiply the scores by weighing factor and see what brings the most value to you. Get rid of what is diluting you effort and concentrate on what brings you happiness.
The Condor IV by Heini Dittmar in 1951 is described with many drawings and pictures. It is mostly a wood and fabric covered glider with a FG in the front part of the fuselage. It is 18 m span and has a glider ratio of 30:1. Gull wing sail plane that would make a good scale model.

There is a Steel Akeela at 130 Inch span with full house control. A PWS-101 at ¼ scale is being built from Martin Simons plans.
