Dale Randall Plum Obituary 1959-2020
Dale Randall Plum, 61, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Monday, December 21, 2020, at home.
Dale was born Sunday, January 25, 1959, in Elkins, a son of the late Junior Plum and Rosalee Roy Plum.
On November 24, 1982, he was married to the former Vickie Arbogast who survives.
They had celebrated thirty-eight years of marriage.
Also left to cherish Dale’s memory is one daughter, Jessica Plum and fiance, Wesley Wegman, two grandchildren, Leeland James Shockey and Audree Grace Wegman, three nephews whom he considered sons, Kyle Langevin and fiancé, Courtney Vanpelt, Ethan Arbogast, and Logan Arbogast, one great nephew, Kyson Langevin, one sister, two brothers, and his biological mother.
Preceding Dale in death was one sister, Linda, and one brother-in-law, Donnie Arbogast.
Dale had attended the two-room schoolhouse in Highland Park.
He was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1978 and had worked as a truck driver for thirty-four years for several companies including Armstrong/southern Trucking.
He enjoyed sports having played football for Elkins High School, working in the pits at Elkins Raceway, and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan.
He had been a member of the Randolph County FFA and for twenty-one years, was a member of the Elkins VFD. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
For seven years, he played Santa Claus for several local organizations and families.
Dale’s request for cremation was honored.
