Mr. James Franklin “Jim” Delauder, 84, a resident of Belington departed this life Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, in the Mon General Hospital at Morgantown. Death was following a short illness.
He was born Nov. 4, 1936, at Belington, a son of the late James Mirl and Bessie Audra Harris Delauder.
On May 4, 1963, at Belington, he was united in marriage to the former Mary Jo Childers, who preceded him in death on March 7, 2020.
Mr. Delauder is survived by two sons, Jimmy Delauder and wife, Shelia, of Belington, and Mark Delauder and wife, Tonya, of Powhattan, Va.; and one daughter, Barbara Weaver of Belington.
Additional survivors include five grandchildren: James Delauder and fiancee, Cailyn Cantanzarite, Joseph Delauder and fiancee, Tara Grady, Devon Delauder, Mercedes Weaver and Porsche Weaver; three great-grandchildren Isabella Delauder, Logan Grady and Ann Cantanzarite. Also surviving one brother, Bob Delauder and wife, June, of Belington; and one sister, Mary Foy and husband, Bill, of Volga.
Jim Attended the schools of Barbour County and was a protestant by faith. He was formerly a carpenter, lastly being employed by Ken Auvil Homes in Belington. Jim was a farmer and an avid hunter and fisherman.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A private family visitation was conducted at the Talbott Funeral Home in Belington on Sunday Dec. 6, 2020. Per his request cremation will follow.
