Lawrence Nicholas Williams, 80, a resident of Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was the beloved father to not only his family but to all the children he cared for in his 30-plus years as a foster father. He was devoted to his church and a music lover. He sang and played many instruments including the piano at his church for years. He also loved to play guitar. Challenged but not overcome by health issues, he lived a beautiful and independent life.
He is survived by his wife Ada, daughter Genevieve and son Elmer, he also has four grandchildren Andrew, Samantha, Katelyn and Jessica; and two great-grandchildren Lily and Amelia.
He was proceeded in death by his son Scott.
No funeral service will be held. A celebration of life will be scheduled once we are no longer at threat by COVID 19.
