Myron D. Tenney Obituary 1924-2013
Myron D. Tenney, 88, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins.
He was born May 16, 1924, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Robert Allen and Emma Jane Mills Tenney.
On June 5, 1946, he married Collene J. Miller, who preceded him in death on Oct. 2, 2006.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delphis and Victor Tenney; and one sister, Loueda Tallman.
He is survived by three sons, Dennis Leo Tenney and wife, Chrystalyn, of Greenwood, S.C., Robert E. Tenney and wife, Arawana, of Sand Run, and William P. Tenney and wife, Connie R., of Buckhannon; one grandson, Robert Paul Tenney of Sand Run; two granddaughters, Lisa McCullough and husband, Eric, of Lumberport, and Bridget Walker and husband, Sean, of Chengdu, China; three great-granddaughters, Ashley McCullough of Lumberport, Lydia and Rachel Walker, both of Chengdu; two great-grandsons, Ethan and Caleb Walker, both of Chengdu; and two sisters, Alice Garnetta Gooden of Mt. Union and Lorraine Perry of Moundsville.
Mr. Tenney was a farmer and attended Nays Chapel.
Friends were received Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service was held Sunday at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Miller officiating. Burial followed in the Mt. Union Church Cemetery in Tallmansville.
