Jerry Alden Cumming Obituary 1938-2013
Jerry Alden Cummings, 74, of Thomas, passed away Jan. 5, 2013, in Cortland Acres.
He was born Feb. 2, 1938, at Pierce, a son of the late Lawrence Mervin Cummings and Virdella Catherine Dewalt Cummings.
Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Lawrence David and Daniel Galen; and one sister, Marian Jane Kimble.
He is survived by one brother, Terry Lynn (Sharon) Cummings of Phoenix, Ariz.; and two sisters, Donna Jean Markley of Thomas and Carol M. (Bobby) Helmick of Damascus, Md.
Jerry loved to hunt and fish. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Callaway officiating. Interment to follow in Nethken Hill Cemetery in Elk Garden.
