Jack Dana Bell, 49, of Maryville, TN, died at 11.08 a.m. Monday, Oct. 30, 2000, at his home. Death was attributed to lung cancer. Mr. Bell was born Dec. 2, 1950, in Elkins, a son of the late Martin B. “Boss” Bell and Nela Mallow Bell. He had never married. Surviving are four brothers, Delano “Jake” Bell, Michael I. Bell and Ivan C. Bell, all of Elkins, and Don H. Bell, Anchorage, Alaska; seven sisters, Mrs. Earl (Mamion) Day, Louisville, Ohio, Mrs. Roy (Wanda) Wegman, Jr., Broadway, Va., Mrs. John (Louise) Higgins, Mrs. Gerald (Joy) Day, Mrs Hoy A. (Neva) Riley, Mrs. Carl (Lettie) See and Mrs. Troy (Nila) Phillips, all of Elkins; a nephew, Robert “Bobby” Freitag, Maryville, Tenn., whom Mr. Bell raised for the past five years, and several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law.
