Virginia Scott, 93, of Buckhannon, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Serenity Care Home in Buckhannon.
She was born Feb. 24, 1919, in Beverly, a daughter of the late William M. and Edna Thomason Wilfong.
On Dec. 28, 1941, she married William Coy Scott, who preceded her in death on Jan. 23, 2002.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Viola Cutright, Gail Lewis, Laura Cutright, Dove Bonner and Nettie Simms; and three brothers, Cecil, Laco and Martin Wilfong.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Scott was a beautician and a member of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church of Buckhannon. She was devoted to the neighbors, family and the church.
Friends will be received today from 4 to 7 p.m. at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ronald M. McCauley and Rev. James Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon.
