Wanda Delores Rexrode Obituary 1939-2013
Mrs. Wanda Delores Rexrode, 74, of Sugar Grove, West Virginia and formerly of Akron, Ohio, passed away on Friday morning, April 5, 2013 at Pendleton Manor in Franklin.
She was born January 12, 1939 at Cherry Grove, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Bob Raines and Nola Hinkle Raines.
She was a 1980 graduate of Akron School of Nursing, where she received her LPN degree. She faithfully attended St. John Lutheran Church, enjoyed flowers, gardening, fishing, being outdoors, caring for and helping people.
On March 14, 1956, she married Dolen G. Rexrode, who survives.
Also surviving are – Two daughters – Bonetta (& husband, Bob) Guyette of Akron, Ohio Kendra (& husband, Matt) Shriver of Akron, Ohio Two sons – Michael (& wife, Robin) Rexrode of Cherry Grove, WV Sheldon (& wife, Christine) Rexrode of Akron, Ohio Ten grandchildren, one of whom she raised, Kaila Rexrode, Mattie and Kody Shriver, Sara, Cora and Sy Rexrode and Zachary, Kristy, Angelica and Tiffany Rexrode Preceding her in death were two brothers, Bobbie Raines and Bernard Raines and one sister, Leah Belle Warner.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church at Moyers, West Virginia with Pastors Jason & Jess Felici officiating.
Burial will be at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, West Virginia. Friends may call at Kimble Funeral Home, 80 South Main Street, Franklin, WV any time after 9:00 AM on Sunday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Monday, April 8, 2013. Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 124 Black Thorn Road, Sugar Grove, WV 26815.
