Mabel G. Strader Obituary 1921-2013
Mabel G. Strader, 91, of Holbrook Nursing Home, and formerly of Rt. 1, Crawford, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Holbrook Nursing Home.
She was born on June 11, 1921, in Lewis County, a daughter of the late Thomas Andrew and Ova Jane Trusler McKisic.
On Aug. 11, 1942, she was united in marriage to Raymond Ralph Strader, who preceded her in death on January 16, 1979.
Surviving is one son, Larry G. Strader and wife, Judith, of Kanawha Head, and daughter-in-law, Ginger Strader, and companion, Mike Sanders, of French Creek. In addition, three grandchildren, Charlene Strader, Kimberly Price and husband, Kent, and Joy Mealey and husband, Mike; two step grandchildren, Shawna Brown and Steve Brown, II; three great grandchildren, Saphire Page, Elizabeth Price, and Laura Price; and two step great grandchildren, Kailea and Darian Brown, also survive.
She was preceded in death by one son Merl Strader, one grandson Roger Strader, four sisters, Neva Strader, Maxine Brake, Nola Shobe, and Clara Sutton; and four brothers, Clarman “Cam” McKisic, Herbert McKisic, Chuck McKisic, and Charlie McKisic.
Mrs. Strader was a member of the Heaston United Methodist Church and the Heaston WSCS.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, from 4-8 p.m. at the Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel. The body will lie in state on Thursday, April 11, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., the funeral hour, at the Heaston United Methodist Church, with Pastor Buck Smith officiating.
