David Brent Eye Obituary 1983-2013
David “Brent” Eye, 29, a resident of First Quality Hill, Parsons, departed this life Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at his home. He had been in his usual health, and death was unexpected and attributed to cardiac arrest.
He was born Sunday, May 22, 1983, at Parsons, a son of David Wayne “Eyeball” Eye of Hambleton and Sherry Ann Martin Valentine and stepfather, Alphus David Valentine, both of Parsons.
Also surviving are his maternal grandparents, Robert and Sylvia Sturdivant Martin of Parsons; his paternal grandmother, Mary Frymyer Savage of Oakland, Md.; two uncles, Robert Martin Jr. and wife, Michele, of Indiana, and Steve Eye and wife, Diana, of Holly Meadows; four aunts, Tina Debien of New York, Cynthia Ellis and husband, Tim, of South Carolina, Teresa Welsh and husband, Kevin, of New Jersey, and Becky Dempsey and husband, Jason, of Holly Meadows; and several cousins.
Preceding him in death was his paternal grandfather, Burell David Eye.
He attended Tucker County High School with the class of 2003, where he was a member of the football squad. He had played on the Little League football and basketball teams, and he played several years for the Men’s Softball League. He was a former employee for Fox Pizza, and he was an employee of L & L Construction of Parsons. He was an avid sports fan and Xbox player. Brent loved to canoe, raft and camp with his friends.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons today from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Saturday, April 13, at 11 a.m. Pastor Allen D. Crosten will officiate, and interment will follow in Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons.
