Linda Louise Elbon Obituary 1952-2013
Linda Louise Elbon, 60, a resident of East Dailey, passed away at 6:45 p.m., Friday, April 12, 2013, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 10, 1952, at Elkins, a daughter of Clifford P. Long and Louise Tenney Long, who survives at Mill Creek.
On July 19, 1986, at Dailey, she was married to Kenneth Harold Elbon, who survives.
Also surviving is one son, Timothy Lee Elbon of Valley Bend; and four daughters, Pamela Bennett and husband, Derrick, of Harman, Lisa Elbon Skinner and husband, JV, of Fredericksburg, Va., Karen Elbon Wandling and husband. Chuck. of Mechanicsville, Va., and Kimberly Elbon Bissett and husband, Rodney, of Fredericksburg, Va.; 10 grandchildren, Trevor Lyttle, Chelsie and Tori Elbon, Kenna, Catlyn and Rebecca Bennett, Emily and Allison Wandling, and Autumn and Cole Bissett also survive.
Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, Arlo and Delsie Pearl Brady.
Linda graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing and retired from Davis Memorial Hospital, where she worked as a registered nurse in the obstetrics department. She was a volunteer with the Tygart Valley Fair Festival, and was a member of the Randolph County Senior Center. She was also a member of the Mill Creek United Methodist Church and belonged to the Methodist Women of the Church and the Church Choir.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, April 17, from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bonnie Starkey and Rev. Harold Langevin officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
