Dennis Eugene McSpadden, 32, a resident of Beverly, departed this life early Tuesday morning, Feb. 19, 2013, at his home in Beverly, surrounded by his family. Death was attributed to cancer.
He was born Monday, Oct. 27, 1980, at Elkins, a son of Eugene Edward McSpadden of Elkins and Pamela Louise White McSpadden Peters of Beverly.
Also surviving are his companion, Holly; stepmother, Nora Ellen McSpadden of Elkins; his stepfather, Robert Peters of Beverly; two brothers, Mitchell Keith McSpadden and wife, Ann, of Beverly; Michael Edward McSpadden and wife, Roberta, of Elkins; one half brother, Cody Shane McSpadden; two nieces, Mackenzie and Peyton McSpadden; and several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
He attended Elkins High School and the Randolph County Vocational-technical Center. He had worked for Poe Run, Ricottilli and Coastal Lumber companies as well as other various lumber companies of the area, enjoyed 4-wheeling and camping, and was an avid outdoorsman, especially loving bear hunting and fishing. He was a faithful follower of the WDNE trading post.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home Friday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m. Pastor Leon Brown will officiate, and interment will follow in Collett Cemetery at Hambleton.
