Roscoe Junior Whetzel 1931-2002 Obituary
Roscoe Junior Whetzel, 71, of Petersburg, died Nov. 9, at his home.
Born Jan. 8, 1931, in Dorcas, he was the son of the late Curry “Doc” Whetzel and Ruth (Vance) Whetzel.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Georgia Mae (Stump) Whetzel; two sons, Jerry Whetzel of Petersburg and Timmy Whetzel of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters, Shirley Whetzel Kessel of Maysville and Brenda Whetzel Chavarria of Paris, Va.; two sisters, Betty Cook of Maysville and Jean Runion of Dorcas; four grandchildren, Kami Dayton and Josh Kessel, both of Scherr and Christopher Whetzel and Justin Whetzel, both of Petersburg; and three great-grandchildren, Kelsey Dayton, Levi Dayton and Jacob Dayton.
Funeral services were Nov. 12, at the Schaeffer Funeral Home chapel, Petersburg, with interment in Maple Hill Cemetery
