Monica McBee Haller 1916-2002 Obituary
Monica McBee Haller, 86, a resident of Parsons, departed this life late Tuesday evening, Nov. 26, 2002, at the Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in her usual health and death was attributed to pneumonia.
She was born on Wednesday, Sept. 13, 1916, in Bowden, a daughter of the late Amos Judy McBee and Anna Mae Triplett McBee.
On Jan. 15, 1935, in Parsons, she was married to Clarence Wellington Haller, who preceded her in death on May 24, 1997.
Surviving are one son, Gary M. Haller, and wife, Kay, Independence, Ky.; two daughters, Vonetta Sullivan and husband, James, Greenville, S.C., and Barbara L. Haller, Parsons; one brother, James Richard McBee, Morgantown; one sister, Norma Anna McBee, Palmyra, Va.; and 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald E. and Larry M. Haller; one brother, Gerald T. McBee; and one sister, Mary Dodson.
Mrs. Haller attended the schools of Randolph and Tucker counties and was a homemaker. She was a lifetime member of the Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Parsons.
Friends will be received at the Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home in Parsons today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Final rites will be conducted from the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 11 a.m. Pastor Allen Dale Crosten will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery. The Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Monica McBee Haller.
