Kathryn Irene “Cap” Moore, 36, a former resident of Elkins and a resident of Huntsburg, Ohio, for the past several years, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 30, 2002, near Huntsburg from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born Oct. 8, 1966, in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of Arnold “Bob” and Bonnie Wilson Leary, who survive in Beverly.
She was formerly married to Stephen Moore, who survives in Chardon, Ohio.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two daughters, Texie Belle Leary, Beverly, and Mariah Janine Moore, Chardon, Ohio; two sons, Benjamin Hinchman, Beverly, and Paul Allen Moore, Chardon, Ohio; four sisters, Penney Moore and husband, Marshall, Middlefield, Ohio, Twylla Paugh, Oakland, Md., Shelly Tasker, Cumberland, Md., and Rhonda Rix, Westminster, Md.; two brothers, Michael Ware and wife, Kathy, Beverly, and Keith Ware and wife, Sarah, Sandyville; and four stepbrothers, Jerry, Bobby, John and David Leary. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was one brother, Eddie Ware.
She was a line operator for the Kinetico Water Treatment Plant in Newberry, Ohio, for the past year. She loved camping and the outdoors.
Cap was a pleasant person and never met a stranger, and will be sadly missed by her children, family and friends.
Friends will be received at the F.E. Runner Funeral Home after 6 p.m. Thursday. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel at 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. A.H. Belt of the Gospel Light Tabernacle will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mingo Cemetery at Mingo.
