Carolyn Sue Griffith 1949-2002 Obituary
Carolyn Sue Griffith, 53, a resident of Philippi, went to be with her Lord at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002, in the United Hospital Center in Clarksburg, following a 16- month illness.
She was born Feb. 9, 1949, in Elkins, a daughter of the late William E. and Helen Raines Watson.
On Jan. 9, 1967, she was united in marriage to Delbert L. Griffith, who survives at Philippi.
Also surviving are one daughter, Tina Revis and husband, James, Baltimore, Md.; two sons, Anthony Griffith and Dwayne Griffith and wife, Jessica, all of Baltimore, Md.; eight grandchildren, La’Kisha, Jeremy, Dwayne Jr., Louie, Daniel, Samantha, Alyssa and Dustin; two sisters, Roselind Arbogast of Belington, and Willa Scott of Elkins; four brothers, William Watson Jr., Huntington, Steven Watson, Philippi, David Watson of Belington and Michael Watson of Huntington; close friends, Dave and Janet Belt; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Griffith was a homemaker and attended the Cathedral of Deliverance Church.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. today from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. A.H. Belt officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. State Memorial Gardens near Gilman.
