Bernice E. Harper, 83, who made her home with her nephew and niece, Solomon Jr. and Deanna Harper of Chardon, Ohio, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2002, at Chardon, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 29, 1918, at Hacker Valley, a daughter of the late Noah S. and Flora Jane Williams Harper.
Also surviving are one brother, Solomon Harper of Ohio; and six sisters, Pearl Tharp, Wealthy Barnett of Pennsylvania, Rella Bragg and Nella Gregory, both of West Virginia, and Kathreen Harper and Kathleen Brown, both of Ohio.
She was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
She retired from the Continental Can Co. in Baltimore, Md.
Friends will be received at Tomblyn-whitescarver Funeral Chapel Tuesday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the funeral hour. Interment will follow in Ware Cemetery near Hacker Valley.
