Allen Stanley Hebb 1909-2002 Obituary
Allen Stanley Hebb, 92, a resident of Parsons, and for the past four years a resident of Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas, departed this life Wednesday morning, June 19, 2002, at the nursing home.
He was born Aug. 20, 1909, at Tunnelton, a son of the late Solomen Elsworth Hebb and Alice Maude Thomas Hebb.
He was never married.
Surviving are two brothers, Harry Hebb, Clarksburg, and Charles Hebb and wife, Christine, Parsons; one sister, Lena Faye Taylor Neville, Cortland Acres Nursing Home, Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Guy, Russ and John Hebb; and four sisters, Mabel Fekete, Ethel Agnes Thawley, Blanche Manueel and Helen Miller.
He attended the schools of Preston County. He worked for the WVP, was a construction worker and was employed at the Parsons Nursery for more than 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and a Protestant
Friends will be received at Barb & Greenlief Funeral Home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Funeral rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Saturday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Eli Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow in Bethel Cemetery at Holly Meadows.
