Barbara Maureen Chambers Wratchford 1930-2002 Obituary
Barbara Maureen Chambers Wratchford, 71, a resident of 1606 South Davis Ave., Elkins, departed this life at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2002.
She had been in declining health for the past five years.
She was born Nov. 24, 1930, at Los Angeles, Calif., a daughter of the late Frank Booth Chambers and Margaret Mary Metzler Chambers.
On April 21, 1960, at Washington, D.C., she was married to Charles Werner Wratchford Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Charlene England, Philippi, Kathleen Taillon and husband, Greg Taillon, and Julia Wratchford, all of Orlando, Fla.; three sisters, Jacqueline Picciano, Thousand Oaks, Calif., Catherine Chambers, Lake Arenal, Costa Rica, and Frances Chambers, San Jose, Calif.; two grandsons, James England, Philippi, and Sean England, Georgia; four nephews, Eugene, Louis, Michael and Stephen Picciano; and two nieces, Ceilia and Kathy Marx.
She attended the Catholic schools of Mt. Rainer, Md. She was a homemaker and a former hospital volunteer at Washington, DC. She was a Catholic.
Friends will be received at Lohr-barb-vance Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Today, at 6:15 p.m. at the funeral home, a prayer service will be recited by the Rev. Father William Anderson.
On Friday, Mrs. Wratchford will be moved to Saint Brendan Catholic Church, where the Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m.
The Rev. Father William Anderson will be the presider and interment will follow at the American Legion’s Little Arlington Cemetery at Cravensdale.
