Lulu Belle “Lulu” Brown Barlow, 66, of Oxnard, Calif., departed this life at the home of her daughter in San Diego, Calif.
She was born in Stout’s Mill, Gilmer County, on Feb. 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Charles Race Brown and Hazel O. Smith Brown.
She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Rae “Cissi” Dall and husband, Hans, of San Diego, Calif.; a son, Bradley J. Barlow and wife, Janice, of Newbury Park, Calif.; and five grandchildren, Jessica and Ryan Dall and Kelly, Katie and Sarah Barlow, all of California.
She is also survived by one brother, Harley Brown of Buckhannon; two sisters, Lillie Mae Moore of Bukchannon, and Patricia J. “Patsy” Brown of Sacramento, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She graduated from B.W. High School with the class of 1953 and was a world traveler, living in London, England, for 11 years of her life.
At her request, her body will be cremated and her ashes will be interned in Heavner Cemetery with a graveside memorial to be at a later date to be announced. Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements
