Arthur Ray Tenney 1945-2002 Obituary
Arthur Ray Tenney, 56, of Route 2, French Creek, died Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002, in United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.
Mr. Tenney was born Feb. 6, 1945, in Upshur County, a son of the late Hobart and Della Elizabeth Casto Tenney.
He married Betty R. Cobb Tenney, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Cindy Riffle, Englewood, Tenn., and Charlotte Williams, North Richville, Ohio; two sons, Dale Lee Tenney, Elyria, Ohio, and Arthur R. Tenney Jr., French Creek; three brothers, Jim Tenney and John Tenney, both of French Creek, and Cecil Casto, Buckhannon; a sister, Hazel Mae Tenney, Buckhannon; and nine grandchildren, Heather Tenney, Brian Cole, Josh and Susie Riffle, Sierra Edwards and Jamie Tenney, Sarah, Hope and Amber Williams.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Tenney.
Friends were received at Big Bend United Methodist Church today from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Interment followed in Big Bend Cemetery. Heavner & Cutright Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
