Mabel F. Ray, 81, a former resident of Pleasant Avenue, Elkins, and a patient in Nella’s Nursing Home, passed away Sunday evening, Aug. 25, 2002, at the nursing home.
She was born Dec. 9, 1920, at Cleveland, a daughter of the late Andy and Blanche Ware Bacorn.
She was married to Ted Ray, who preceded her in death.
She is survived by two stepsons, Lee Ray of Maryland, and Rob Ray of Middle Mountain.
Also preceding her in death were seven brothers, Odis, Dewey, Basil, Robert, Harley, Roy and Dale Bacorn; and three sisters, Nettie Parker, Dorothy Fansler and Lela Davis.
Mrs. Ray was a homemaker.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gene Rhoden officiating. Interment will follow in Little Arlington Cemetery.
