Gary Allen Pritt 1964-2002 Obituary
Gary Allen Pritt, 38, a former resident of the Cravensdale community and a resident of 105 1/2 Duncan Ave., Clarksburg, passed away Thursday morning Nov. 28, 2002, at his residence.
He had been in his usual health and death was sudden and unexpected.
Born July 6, 1964, in Elkins, he was the son of Arlen Lee and Pauline Mae Taylor Pritt, who survive at Cravensdale.
Also surviving is his maternal grandmother, Carrie Taylor, Cravensdale; two sons, Gary Allen Pritt Jr. and Russell Shane Crites, both of Elkins; one sister, Joyce Susan Pritt, Cravensdale; and five brothers, Robert Lee Pritt and wife, Joyce, Cravensdale, Arthur Woodrow Pritt and wife, Angel, Clarksburg, Terry Lee Pritt and wife Alisa, Chenoweth Creek, his twin brother, Jerry Allen Pritt and wife, Melissa, Cravensdale, and Terry Allen Pritt, at home. In addition, he is survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather, John Bosworth Taylor, and his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Misouri Martin Pritt.
He was employed by A&S Construction Co. in Elkins for several years.
Gary attended the schools of Randolph County. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He was known well for playing board games and he loved spending time with his family and friends. He also had a great love for animals.
He was a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received at the F.E. Runner Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday after 5 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted from the Runner Chapel on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
Pastor charles Herron of the Revival Center Church will officiate. Interment will follow in the Pritt Cemetery at Cravensdale.
The F.E. Runner Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Gary Allen Pritt.
