James Wesley Spreacker Sr. 1972-2002 Obituary
James Wesley Spreacker Sr., 75, of 12 Third Ave., Buckhannon, died Wednesday, Nov. 27, 2002, at his home.
Mr. Spreacker was born Sept. 2, 1927, in Huntington, a son of the late Alger R. Spreacker and Opal Fry Spreacker.
On Sept. 2, 1972, he married Shirley Spreacker, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, James W. Spreacker Jr., Barboursville; three daughters, Diana and husband, Gary Ballard, Huntington, Debbie and husband, Mike Crouthamel, Largo, Fla., and Darlene and husband, John Stinson, Little River, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Angela and husband, Bruce Hollen, Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Lisa and husband, Matthew Monteville, Huntington, Jennifer and husband, Geoff Trafton, San Antonio, Texas, Whitney Stinson, Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Nicole Spreacker, Barboursville; three grandsons, Wesley and wife, Amanda Curnutte, Huntington, John Ryan Stinson, Little River, S.C., and Justin Hollen, Buckhannon; four great-grandsons, Greyson Monteville, Parker Monteville and Spencer Monteville, all of Huntington, and Dustin Trafton, San Antonio, Texas; a great-granddaughter, Reilley Curnutte, Huntington; three half brothers, Darrell Spreacker, Franklin Furnace, Ohio, Donald Spreacker, Huntington, and Gary Spreacker, Harrison, Tenn.; and a half sister, Lynn Ball, Chesapeake, Ohio.
Mr. Spreacker was a heat and frost insulator and belonged to the International Association of Heat and Frost Insulators and Asbestos Workers Local No. 80. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 598 of Buckhannon, and was a member of the Harley Owners Group and American Motorcyclist Association.
He was a Protestant by faith.
Friends will be received today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home Inc. in Buckhannon. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Norman Eugene Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Church Cemetery in French Creek.
