Ina Lea Huffman 1911-2002 Obituary
Ina Lea Huffman, 91, a resident of Route 4, Audra Park community, Buckhannon, passed away at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, at her residence, following a cardiac arrest.
She was born June 19, 1911, in Upshur County, a daughter of the late William H. and Esta (Lowe) Hinzman.
She was united in marriage on July 1, 1935, to Glenn I. Huffman, who preceded her in death in April 1975.
Surviving are one daughter, Ilene Huffman, at home; one son and daughter-in-law, Arkie and wife, Jean Huffman, Volga; three grandsons, Gary L. Huffman and friend, Jenny Criss, Route 4, Buckhannon, Tony and wife, Kelly Huffman, Philippi, and Johnny Huffman and friend, Sue Haller, Century; one granddaughter, Mrs. Rex (Pam) Casto, Carrollton; three stepgreat-grandchildren, J.D. Haller, Rex Allen Casto and Tristan Runner; and a special friend, Brenda Evix.
She was preceded in death by two sons, William “Billie” Huffman and Paul Huffman; one sister, Necie Cutright; and one brother, Arnett Hinzman.
She was a former postmaster at Vegan. She was an avid seamstress. She was a member and former Sunday School teacher at Bethel United Methodist Church.
Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Bryan Headley officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Cemetery.
