Roma D. Summerfield, 54, a resident of 120 Sunset Drive, Elkins, passed away Wednesday morning, July 10, 2002, at her home following an extended illness.
She was born Dec. 9, 1947, at Harrisville, a daughter of Juanita E. Cunningham, who survives at Harrisville, and the late Kenneth O. Cunningham.
She was twice married. First, to Bradley Sanders, a son of B. Sherwood and Lois Sanders of Elkins. He preceded her in death in 1995. On March 8, 1997, she was married to Roger K. Summerfield, who survives in Elkins.
Also surviving are two daughters, Tara R. Thorpe and Kristen B. Sanders, both of Elkins; one stepson, Doug Summerfield of Beverly; one stepdaughter, Amy Roberts of Morgantown; two brothers, Kenneth Cunningham and Larry Cunningham, both of Harrisville; and two sisters, Florence Poe of Raleigh, N.C., and Estella McDonald of Harrisville.
She was employed as a loan officer for Citizens National Bank at the time of her death. She attended St. Brendan Catholic Church in Elkins.
Friends may call from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Father William Anderson presiding. Interment will follow in St. Brendan Cemetery.
