Helen Grace Currence Powers, 81, a native of Elkins, and a resident of Logan, Utah, departed this life on Saturday, June 22, 2002, at Logan, Utah.
She was born on Tuesday, Nov. 2, 1920, at Elkins, a daughter of the late H. Blaine Currence, and Priscilla Clementine Kerns Currence.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Powers, Logan, Utah, and Priscilla Jane Powers, Whiterock, Utah; and one brother, Robert Currence, Morgantown.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Hugh, Kenneth and Donald Currence; and two sisters, Edith Currence McDougal and Kathleen Currence Rollins.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home Thursday from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., at which time Mrs. Powers will be moved to Elkins Memorial Gardens at Elkins, where a graveside service will be held. Interment will follow.
