Luvera V. Morrison Taylor, 78, of HC Box 246, Rock Cave, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at her home in Kanawha Head.
Mrs. Taylor was born March 30, 1924, in Eden, a daughter of the late Willis Wade and Martha Alice Taylor Morrison.
She was twice married. First, she married William Esker Gregory, who preceded her in death. Second, she married Arnold O. Taylor, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three sons, Dewain Gregory and wife, Janet, Buckhannon, Steven Gregory and wife, Sandy, Roanoke, and John Gregory and wife, Barbie, Eden; three daughters, Mary Zink and husband, William, Wheeling, Nancy McCune and husband, Charles, Weston, Linda Moore-foglesong and husband, Ken, Glenville; two sisters, Iva Waugh, Buckhannon, and Genevieve Gregory, Conway, Pa.; one brother, Dewey Morrison, Lakeland, Fla.; six grandsons, Mikie, Doug, Steven, Tim, Chris, Dion; eight granddaughters, Sherica, Shauna, Angie, Leslie, Melissa, Carmen, Rhonda and Marley; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six sisters, Nellie, Emma, Irene, Mary, Russie and Hazel; and four brothers, Floyd, Buck, Harold and Merl.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of Rock Cave Senior Saints, trustee and treasurer for Eden Community Building and an active member of Rock Cave Baptist Church.
Friends will be received at Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home today from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Jessie, Pastor Eugene Helmick and Pastor Charles Sisk officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Church Cemetery at Kanawha Head. In lieu of flower, contributions may be made to Rock Cave Baptist Church Senior Van Fund, PO Box 21, Rock Cave, W.Va. 26234.
