Pauline Ellen Shipp, 57, a former resident of Beverly, where she had made her home with her niece, Cecilia Riggleman, and since August 20001, a resident of Elkins Regional Convalescent Center, departed this life at 11:20 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2002, at Davis Memorial Hospital. She had been in declining health.
She was born Monday, May 29, 1944, at Elkins, a daughter of the late George A. Shipp and Mishie Marie Miller Shipp.
She had never married.
Surviving are three sisters, Betty J. Hornick, Elkins, Sarah J. Corley, Bryans Road, Md., and Barbara E. Humphrey, Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Samuel E. Shipp; and three sisters, Madeline E. Albright, Margaret M. Sharp and Dora Mae Shipp.
She was a Methodist by faith.
Friends will be received at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 11 a.m. The Rev. Donald L. Fitzwater will officiate and interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins.
