Robert V. Beer 1935-2002 Obituary
Robert V. Beer, 66, a resident of 17 Halifax St., Buckhannon, died Thursday, April 4, 2002, at his home.
He was born June 15, 1935, in Buckhannon, the son of the late Forest and Amy Pearl Craven Beer.
On Aug. 15, 1958, he was married to Nancy Louise Dean Beer, who preceded him in death on Sept. 27, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Randall (Renee) Bailey, French Creek, Mrs. Sam (Beth) Vaught, Buckhannon, and Mrs. Randall (Karis) Courtney, Frenchton; two sons, Pete Beer and wife, Jenny, Buckhannon, and Robert L. Beer and wife, Jeannie, Martinsburg; three sisters, Judy Butcher, Evelyn Riffle and Avis Reed, all of Buckhannon; four granddaughters, Corri Fox and husband, Richard, Bellevue, Neb., Christina Beer and Jordan Beer, both of Martinsburg, Erin Beer, Buckhannon; five grandsons, B.J. Bailey and wife, Kelly, Zachary Vaught and Ethan Beer, all of Buckhannon, Christopher Carlyle and Seth Courtney, both of Frenchton; one great-grandson, Jared Bailey, Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyndon Beer and Zane Beer.
Mr. Beer retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1975 with 20 years of service and was a water meter reader for the city of Buckhannon.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Poling-st. Clair Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday.
Interment will follow in the Heavner Cemetery.
