Lois Unger Massi, 82, of Kings Mountain, N.C., and formerly of Thomas, died Thursday, Jan. 31, 2002 in Kings Mountain, N.C.
She was born Dec. 31, 1919 in Tucker County, a daughter of the late Benson “B.W.” and Virginia Bohrer Unger.
She is survived by five daughters, Linda Arnold and husband, George, Central Point, Ore., Jane Ann Massi, Ripley, Gayle Point and husband, Robert of Woodbridge, N.C., Laura Shriver and husband, Tom, Ansted, and Elizabeth Glover and husband, Rick, Pueblo, Co.; and one brother, Benson Warren Unger Jr. and wife, Susan of Oakland, Md.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, Irvin M. Unger, and six sisters, Marie U. Cosner, Ruth U. Breedlove, Virginia U. Thompson, Catherine U. Scott, Dorothy U. Harget and June U. Bishop.
Mrs. Massi was a retired bookkeeper for the Miners and Merchants Bank of Thomas, and a member of the Thomas United Methodist Church.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Chapel in Davis Sunday from noon until 2 p.m., the funeral hour. The Rev. Jeff Winter will officiate, and interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Thomas.
