Lela Ketchem, 94, of Route 3, Shale Road, Belington, where she made her home with Maude Harris, and formerly of Union community, Philippi, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Ketchem was born Sept. 29, 1907, in Barbour County, a daughter of the late George Riley and Hulda Henrietta Burner McDaniel.
She married Karl B. Ketchem, who preceded her in death in 1985.
Surviving are nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Bernice Bolton and Virginia Ketchem; two sons, Bobby Ketchem and Marvin Garnett Ketchem; five brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Ketchem was a homemaker. She was a member of Union Church of Christ.
Funeral Arrangements: Friends will be received at Wright Funeral Home, 216 N. Walnut St., Philippi, today after 2 p.m. Funeral services will be in the funeral home chapel Wednesday at 1 p.m. with Evangelist R.D. Ice officiating. Interment will follow in Pitman Cemetery.
